Due to the Covid pandemic leading to regulation changes in training, our warehouse now has excess amount of equipment.

In celebration of Karate making its debut for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics we are now rewarding all our Instructors (Level : 1 / 2) with a £25.00 auction voucher when re-newing their annual C.M.A.A. membership.

The club will be presenting an auction sometime in 2025 and the equipment for sale will be at around 40-45% reserve off the retail price.  

Instructors will be in a position to receive up to 4 X vouchers (£100.00) that can be used in the auction, providing they have renewed their memberships.

This offer is from July 2021 / July 2025.

A list of equipment for sale will be provided nearer the time of the auction.  

Your current membership renewal is £25.00 per year, so in effect you are getting it free with your £25.00 voucher.

You have trained hard, earnt your Instructor qualification, now get your reward.

Approxmiate costs are based on 44 lessons, training once a week in a year (sometimes there may be an extra week).

This allows for two weeks off at Christmas/two weeks students holiday/two weeks club shut.

Please note that minimum age for a Black Belt 1st Dan is 10 years old (starting at 7 years old).  If you start earlier 5-6 years old, it will obviously take a bit longer.

All gradings and membership renewals are paid separately as shown in the costs given.

Instructors please note you need to be a minimum age of 16 years old to take a 2nd Dan grading exam. (A minimum of 2 years is required between 1st - 2nd Dan training).

"WHY A BLACK BELT COSTS NOTHING"

(YOUR COSTS PAID BACK IN A LITTLE OVER A YEAR)

At 2nd Dan Instructor Level (minimum age 18 years), you have been trained and graded to teach your own students.

SMALL GROUPS INSTRUCTOR  (S.G.I.)

You do not have to run a club to teach and grade.

You will not necessarily have to rent premises to teach (no costs).

If you teach a small group of students (maximum of 4) you are a group, not a club.

You can still register them with Fudo Ken Ryu for their membership.

You are free to grade them when you feel they are ready.  This is your decision. 

What your costs are is also your decision. (Remember you are a small group).

Eg : £10.00 X per student (4 in total) is very reasonable (and cheap) for private small group tutition.  That equates to £1,760.00 per year based on 44 lessons.

Plus your 4  X grading fees per student and memberships that you charge (eg: £500.00).

Your 7 year Instructor training programme costs you around £2,746.00

Now deduct £2,260 from 1 year's teaching of only 4 students.

That's £486.00 outstanding (after 12 months).

Within 14 months (425 days) of teaching just 4 students you could have 7 years of costs paid back and receive profit.

This is why our Club believes strongly in the Instructor Investment Programme.

Not every Martial Artist wants to be an Instructor and that's their decision.

But it is nice to know you can get back the costs your parents/yourselves have paid over the years.

* Please note to have your students' grades recognised you will need a C.M.A.A. Licence Memebership through us.  

* All Black Belt  C.M.A.A. Dan gradings will need to be assessed by us, if you are teaching our system.
